So the main part of this past week was prom. I was so excited for prom because my girlfriend flew in from Mass. for the prom. We looked so great in all of our prom pictures and my tux and her dress were beautiful.
For dinner we went to a new restaurant in town with a group of people. There, the food was pretty good and it wasn't too expensive. As for prom night it was fun but scary because of a huge storm which came through.
At prom the dancing was kind of stupid because the songs were at an awkward pace and all the lights were left on so you could tell that the people on the dance floor were really uncomfortable.
After prom we made our way to after prom and that was fun. We won the dating game so we each got ten dollars and we also played some bingo and watched people sing and make fools of themselves.
Overall I was just so excited to get to see my girl and be with her.

One More Week
I'm so flippen' excited. It is just 5 more days until Thursday! What is Thursday (you are probably asking yourself)? I have an answer. Thursday is the day that my girlfriend from MA flies in for prom! Sadly, I am being cajoled into going to school on Friday by my mother because she is being wicked annoying. But, I'm still really excited for her to come down and for prom.
So my past week has been same old, same old. The main is that I need to get my AP Chemistry grade up because right now I have a B for this term and I really want to do well in the class so I need to start working way harder so I can get that A.
Also this week my partner that I rapped with and I decided to get our gift certificate to Cheddar's so at some point we will have to redeem that.
Today I went to Welborn's Flowers to get flowers for prom and I really didn't realize how expensive flowers are. To get my girlfriend a bouquet and to get a flower pin thing for myself cost me around $65. And since I am in the process of searching for a job, other than cutting my parents grass for $15, $65 is a rediculous amount of money.

Another Week
So this week was reletively simple, seeing as not a lot happened. I had a huge chemistry test which I am pretty sure I did well on. Also this week I presented my Canterbury Tales Project. I was the knight so for my visual aid I made a knight out of aluminum foil.
Additionally my mom was in Nebraska visiting her family there. So, my dad and I went out to eat just about every night! One night we went to Ninki and then another night we ate some fried chicken.
Then on Sunday a friend of mine and I made a video presentation of us rapping. This presentation got us a free meal from out teacher. So now we need to figure out where we are going to get a gift certifigate to.

Viva Mexico!!!
So over Spring Break I went to Cancun, Mexico. This trip was for my grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary.
I got to leave school a day early so my break started on Wednesday. Thursday morning my mom, my dad, and I got up at 2 AM to drive to Nashville to catch our 5 AM flight to Atlanta and then on to Cancun. We arrived in Cancun a couple hours before the rest of our group which consisted of my brother, my two cousins, my aunt, my uncle, and my grandparents so we got in a taxi and took a one hour drive to the all-inclusive where we were staying. When we got there it was amazing. Immediately we went out and sat on the beach and waited for the rest of my family to arrive.
Everyday I got up around 10 or 11 and went and ate at the breakfast buffet. Then I went out and sat on the beach. My days there were filled with drinking beverages, snorkeling, kayaking, and playing beach volleyball. Unfortunately, I got a nasty sunburn one of the days so I just left a t-shirt on the rest of the week so the burn would not get too bad. One of the days my whole family went to another beach by taxi. This beach we went to is famous for its residential juvinile sea-turtle population. I was so exciting getting to swim with sea-turtles. Also while snorkeling there we saw a 5 foot baracuda that was terrifying huge.
Our nights were filled with hanging out at the Sports Bar, going around to shops, and going to the different restaurants on the resort. Our favorite restaurant had to be the Japanese Hibachi Restaurant.
The flight home was a bit more rocky. We were stuck in Atlanta for the night and had to sleep in the airport because of a big thunder storm in Nashville. So we got a very bad night of sleep but, luckily we were able to catch a flight at 8 the next morning and we were home by noon.
Overall it was a magnificent trip.

For this post just go to the next post because I was in Mexico when I would normally do this post so I am just going to do a post from right now to show both of them.

Modern Warfare II
So this week was pretty boring until the end of the week. During the week I took a chemistry and I gave a speech in English class. My speech was on the problem of obesity in America. Overall obesity has become a major part and problem of America. Hopefully I made some sort of change in the people who heard my speech.
On Saturday I went to my friend's house and we played some Halo and Call of Duty. It was a blast.
Then, just now, I was elected treasurer of our National Honor Society!

Spiderman
This week was pretty good. On Monday, some people from my English class and I went to Denny's for breakfast. I was surprised that I was able to wake up at 6:30 to go, seeing as I usually wake up at 7:50. That was the highlight of that day.
On Tuesday, my English class was assigned to get into groups and make a commercial for a product. My group ended up meeting Thursday after shcool and filmed our commercial. Our product is Bully-Alert. It is a spoof off Life-Alert. In the commercial I dressed up as Spiderman and another kid dressed up as Captain America. I have a feeling that the final product, we will see it tomorrow, will be pretty awesome.
On Wednesday, our NHS went to a retirement home and entertained the elderly with a St. Patrick's Day Party. That was really fun and it was surprisingly interesting to talk with the people there and hear about their lives.
Thursday, we shot our commercial and I found out about a big Chemistry test on Monday so I really need to get to work on studying for that.
Overall that is my week. And a week from Thursday I get to go to Mexico!

Bye Bye English
This was a pretty standard week for me. On Monday I presented my English project. My partner and I twisted the song "The Call" by the Backstreet Boys to make a ballad out of it. And I also got a chemistry test back that got an 88 on, so there is deffinately room for improvement. Because of that, I have been reading the next couple sections, like I am supposed to, so to gain a better understanding of the material.
On Tuesday, the entire Junior Class at our school took the ACT. I think I did pretty good because there was not a question that I had to guess on. But, I am sure that I will atleast get a couple wrong. Also, my brother came home for Spring Break from his college.
On Wednesdday, nothing major happened. Except, my English teacher was out and would be absent for the Thursday and Friday. My brother and my dad played golf basically all day.
Thursday was a standard day of school.
On Friday, I had an egg drop project due in physics. Sadly, when I dropped my egg it broke so I automatically lost 30 points but, my teach said you could earn back your points by writing a paragraph on why your egg broke. I was able to get the paragraph done in class. That night my family had fondue because it is sort of a tradition to do when we are all together.
Saturday, we were going to go to Mammoth Caves but there were no spots open so my family and I just stayed home all day and gooffed off.
And today I went to church and have been working on homework, basically all day.

A Pretty Long Week
So this week was basically my first full week of school since Christmas, between swimming & diving, snow-days, and Future Business Leaders of America. It was a pretty long week but, I made the most of it. Also, I'm in the middle of working a lab for AP Chemistry which is taking a lot longer than I thought it would.
My mom was gone this whole week because she was in Nebraska visiting family. As it turned out while visiting her grandma, my mother caught the flu so her trip was extended a little bit. Furthermore while she was up in Nebraska, her dad ended up having to go to the hospital because his balance has been wierd and he has been getting progressivly worse as time goes on. He found out he has a brain aneurysm and he will find out what options he has on Tuesday. So prays would be very helpful because my grandpa and my family are in desperate need of them. Thank you.

A BOMBastic Week
So this week was generally simple, except it was extremely long and there were some incidents at our school. To start off on Monday, we had a drug check. This means first period was interrupted and all of the teachers and students had to put all their stuff out in the hallway and wait for the drug dogs to go through and sniff everthing to determine if anyone had drugs in the school. I am unsure how many people got caught but I am guessing there were atleast a few. Then on Tuesday something huge happened. The Junior class was in the auditorium for an assembly and they were keeping us for a long time. At this point people started getting texts from their parents asking if they were okay because there was a potential bomb threat at our school. We ended up sitting in the auditorium for about two hours and there ended up being no bomb in the school. Both the police department and out high school are offering $100 each if there is any information leading to who is responsible for the fake threat. After school on Tuesday I went to the doctor and they x-rayed my collar bone and told me it was healing well and I would probably be able to do activities again in about four to six weeks.
Nothing exciting happened on Wednesday. On Thursday I went with the Future Business Leaders of America to Bowling Green for a convention. The convention was really boring and I probably will not be doing FBLA again next year. That all for now!

Broken =[
This week has had a some excitement in it. To start off, on Monday I went sledding with this kid in my neighborhood at a park in our town. I was on a sled that is like a snowboard but, it does not have foot holes so, while riding the sled, you have little control over where you are going...Anyways, the I had gone down the hill a couple of times with relative success and then I was going down and when I got to the bottom of the hill the sled stopped but, I kept going and my shoulder slammed straight into the ground. It did not hurt that bad at first so I calmly walked over to the car and took off my coat because it had started to hurt and I was pretty sure I had broken something or separated my shoulder. I called my mom and she came and picked me up and took me to convenient care and they took x-rays and told me I had borken my collar bone (clavicle). The next day we had an appoinment at an Orthopedic Surgeon's office and they told me that my break was a good break. This meant they would not have to reset the bone or anything so it will probably heal on its own.
The rest of the week was about the same and it was spent trying to do everything I normally do but, using only one arm. This week I have an appointment after school on Tuesday to see where I am at in the healing process. Wish me Luck!!!

A Week of Vacation
This week I did absolutely nothing except diving. I went to school on Monday but, everyone was getting prepared for a big snow storm that was going to hit that night so I was excited not to have school on Tuesday. My day was really easy. That night I went to diving practice and found out that I had qualified for the State Diving Tournement. This meant that I would leave school at 1 on Thursday and take a bus with the rest of the kids from our swim team who made it to the state level.
As it turned out there was no school Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. So I basically got a week of vacation because I left for States on Thursday and was excused from school on Friday. The State Meet was a lot of fun. The 13 kids from our team stayed in a hotel in Louisville and it was awesome. As far as diving went, I dove pretty well but I did not make it back for the next day. I got to stay though and cheer on the rest of my team. I then got back late Saturday and went straight to bed because I was extremely tired.
As for today, I went to church and then came home and did all of Monday nights homework that I put off for the longest time.

Absent From School
This entire past week I was absent from six and a half classes. On Tuesday I had the Regional Diving Meet so I left school at 1 o'clock during the middle of Spanish. So not only did I miss half of Spanish but also I missed all of Physics. The meet went pretty well. I recieved a fourth place accolade out of nine divers and I will find out tomorrow night if my score was good enough to send me to the State Diving Meet.
Then on Wednesday, my day was going off without a hitch until a got a massive migrain during the middle of a big chemistry test. Luckily, I was able to finish the test before I went to the nurse. This was the first time I have ever been to the nurse at this school. She was very nice and gave me an Advil and told me to come back in a half and hour if the Advil didn't help. So I walked back up to my chemisty class and put my head down, praying the pain would go away. But, it didn't so, I went back to the nurse and she called my mom so she could come get me. The headache was the worst pain I have ever felt in my head and I wouldn't have gone home if I felt like I could have stayed at school because I didn't want to miss anymore of my classes and get even more behind. It turned out that I ended up missing all of Spanish and Physics.
On Thursday I was able to make it through the entire day of school and recieve all of the assignments I had missed. I found out that I had a ton of work to do and I was forced to tell all of my teachers, except my first block English teacher, that I wasn't going to be in school the next day because I had the Regional Swim Meet Preliminaries. So I got all the work I would miss and went on my way for the day.
On Friday I went to school for my first block class and then I was off to the swim meet. In the meet I swam the 200 IM which is 50 meters of each stroke and a very tiring race. It was fun though because I was able to win the heat that I was in. This was a huge meet and this race was only third race and my next race was the eleventh race. The next race was the 400 Freestyle Relay which is a relay race of four swimmers where each swimmer swims 100 meters doing freestyle. Our relay did really well and qualified in the top 12 for the region so all the members of that relay got to come back the next day and swim again along with all the other swimmers from our team that swam really well.
Saturday was generally the same as Friday except for the fact that I got to sleep in and then arrive at the swim meet a little late because I didn't have to swim until the last race. I swam excellent and did my best split that I have ever done, swimming the 100 meters I had to swim in 1 minute.

Lazing Around
This past week has been relatively boring and pretty much nothing happened at all. So on Monday I got back the non-calculator part of my chemistry test and I ended up getting a 38/42 on the section which is not bad but, I know I can do better. Also I got new words for vocabulary in English and I realized that we had a big English test the next day on Anglo-Saxon Literature that I needed to study for. It turned out that we had a snowday on Tuesday even though there was only 1/4 (if that) an inch of snow on the ground but, the roads were pretty bad.
The English test was postponed until Wednesday and I have no idea how I did on that test. I had to wrap on the final thoughts in my essay after the bell had rung. In my next class my chemistry teacher showed us a cool expirament with this gas that weighs more than air and fire. It was awesome. That night I had swim practice and it was the first time I had swam in about a week because I had been sick and I dive on Mondays. The practice was not too tough but I could tell I had work to do.
On Thursday I had a substitute in English and she passed out a copy of Frankenstein to everyone. But, I already had been reading it because I had nothing else to read so when she gave us the first assignment, I had practically done all of the reading that was needed to complete the assignment. Also, I was sure that we were going to have a snowday on Friday because weather.com showed that I was going to snow all of Thursday night. I was wrong =[. We ended up having school on Friday because the snow decided to delay 24 hours. My day was easy because in both Spanish and Physics we watched movies so I was able to just space out.
I was woken up at 10 in the morning on Saturday and forced into shoveling off my whole driveway in the time I could have used for sleeping. I usually sleep until about 12 or 1 on Saturdays. On Sunday I went to church and then I had a diving meet which I did okay in but I did not do my best. I need to fix that because on Tuesday I have the Regional Dive meet. Wish me luck!

Week 2
This past week has been a pretty standard week. To start off we didn't have school on Monday but you heard about what I did in my last blog entry.
On Tuesday I got my first vocab list for English. I'm a little worried about the vocabulary quizzes though because the quizzes are cumulative so by the end of the class the last quiz will have a pool of about 140 words to pick from. YIKES! I'm going to just make a bunch of flashcards though and just go over them once or twice a week and then right before the quiz and I will hopefully be okay. Next I had AP Chemisty and we had our first test of the class and it turned out to be relatively easy and wasn't too hard for me. As of now I've gotten back the calculator part of the test and I got a 96 on that part. Then I had Spanish which is fairly easy for me because for somereason it is easy for me to understand and easy for me to speak. After that I had physics and I needed to find sometime to make up a lab. That night I had a swim meet and the pool we swam in was pretty gross and the walls were really slippery so it was hard to do turns. I had to swim the 500 meter freestyle for the first time which was pretty awful and it took a ton of energy out of me.
The rest of the week was pretty standard. On Wednesday, after school, I made up a Spanish video that I had missed seeing and I basically aced the test on the video so that was great. Then on Thursday, after school, I made up a Chemistry lab and our lab basically failed miserably because our data was extremely off and messed up and basically all over the place. That night I had diving practice which was good and I worked on some of the dives I want to do at Regionals in a couple of weeks. Then Friday, before school, I made up a Physics lab and this was pretty funny because I forgot to tell my parents that I had gone to school so they were like freaking out when they realized I was gone. I don't know if they thought I had ran away or something because my mom asked my dad, who leaves for work at like 6 in the morning, if my car was in the driveway when he left. Eventually they got ahold of me and it all worked out. I've been sick basically all weekend with a pretty nasty cold so right now I'm trying to get through my homework before tomorrow and then everything will be okay!

Getting Started
So this is my first blog entry ever, how exciting is that! For this entry I'll cover what has happened in my life in the past five or so days
Last Wednesday, after school, I got a letter in the mail from the ACT testing place and I had received my scores. My mother rushed down to my room which is in the basement of or house to see the scores I had received. I achieved a composite score of a 32 on the ACT! As of right now I have decided that a 32 is good enough that I probably do not need to take the ACT again to get into the colleges that I may plan on going to. My first choice for a school is the University of Connecticut because I really like that area of New England.
This brings us to New England. I have moved all over my whole life. Originally I was born in Delaware. I resided there for three years of my life. My mother ran a home day care and my father worked for Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream. When I was three my dad was transferred to Sikeston, MO so it was our first move. Since I was so young, I remember nothing at all about Delaware. After living in MO for eight years my dad was transferred again to a Good Humor Breyer's Ice Cream Factory in Framingham, MA. It was extremely unfortunate to be transferred at the start of 6th grade but I was sure that I was going to get by. I loved it up there which is partially the reason that I want to go to Uconn. While in MA I went to the beach and I got really good at skimboarding. Skimboarding is a sport where you run along th shore of the beach holding a really thin board that is made either of wood or plexiglass material and you run and drop the board in very limited water as the waves are retreating back to the sea and jump on the board. Once you are very good you can do spins and tricks. I even got good enough that I could ride out into the water and occasionally turn and catch a wave so I could be brought back to shore. Also I loved skiing in New England. I own a two pairs of twin tip skis. These are skis which have raised fronts and backs, allowing you to ride forwards and backwards, which makes them an excellent pair of trick skis. I was good enough to do some rails and the occasional 360 on skis. And then, tragedy struck. My dad was transferred again. Although he still worked for the overall company of Unileiver, he was now working for Ragu Sauce instead of Ice Cream. I was coerced into moving to Owensboro, KY at the beginning of my Junior year of high school. Not only was I going to leave a ton of friends behind but also I was forced to leave the girl that I had been dating for 4 months at the time. Everything has worked out though and we have been together long distance now for 10 months, bringing us to my last couple days.
On Thursday I woke up with my bags packed and went to school. I could hardly concentrate knowing what was to come. The day could not have gone by any slower but finally I my 4th block Physics teacher got the call and I was dismissed half an hour early from school. From the school my mother and I drove to the Evansville, IN airport and took off on our flight to RI. We hit the connection in Atlanta, GE with ease. At Atlanta I went to the Atlanta Bread Company to get my dinner and then it was off to RI. Once we landed in RI my mother and I rented a car and drove the hour to Hopkinton, MA. By the time we got to MA and the house we were staying at for the night it was already past midnight but there was still someone up waiting for us. The next morning I was woken up early by my friend jumping on me. From there I went to my girlfriends house and it was an awesomely romantic reunification. There we hung out all day at her house and just chilled. Overall the whole weekend was amazing and I spent a lot of time with my girl as well as my best guy friend. My best guy friend is pretty cool and we just screwed around and caused all kinds of trouble.
When it was time to leave I was extremely emotional and there were tears flying but, I was able to get through it in the end and got on my plane to Atlanta.
In Atlanta our flight to Evansville had been canceled so we were going to be stuck in Atlanta for atleast 24 hours and I was going to miss school the next day. But, because of some quick thinking by my mom we were able to get on a flight to Nashville, TN and we got my dad to come pick us up at about 10 PM. We also gave some people that lived in Owensboro a ride home who got stuck in the same situation which my mother and I found ourselves in.
All and all it was a fantastic time.
