This past week has been relatively boring and pretty much nothing happened at all. So on Monday I got back the non-calculator part of my chemistry test and I ended up getting a 38/42 on the section which is not bad but, I know I can do better. Also I got new words for vocabulary in English and I realized that we had a big English test the next day on Anglo-Saxon Literature that I needed to study for. It turned out that we had a snowday on Tuesday even though there was only 1/4 (if that) an inch of snow on the ground but, the roads were pretty bad.
The English test was postponed until Wednesday and I have no idea how I did on that test. I had to wrap on the final thoughts in my essay after the bell had rung. In my next class my chemistry teacher showed us a cool expirament with this gas that weighs more than air and fire. It was awesome. That night I had swim practice and it was the first time I had swam in about a week because I had been sick and I dive on Mondays. The practice was not too tough but I could tell I had work to do.
On Thursday I had a substitute in English and she passed out a copy of Frankenstein to everyone. But, I already had been reading it because I had nothing else to read so when she gave us the first assignment, I had practically done all of the reading that was needed to complete the assignment. Also, I was sure that we were going to have a snowday on Friday because weather.com showed that I was going to snow all of Thursday night. I was wrong =[. We ended up having school on Friday because the snow decided to delay 24 hours. My day was easy because in both Spanish and Physics we watched movies so I was able to just space out.
I was woken up at 10 in the morning on Saturday and forced into shoveling off my whole driveway in the time I could have used for sleeping. I usually sleep until about 12 or 1 on Saturdays. On Sunday I went to church and then I had a diving meet which I did okay in but I did not do my best. I need to fix that because on Tuesday I have the Regional Dive meet. Wish me luck!

Week 2
This past week has been a pretty standard week. To start off we didn't have school on Monday but you heard about what I did in my last blog entry.
On Tuesday I got my first vocab list for English. I'm a little worried about the vocabulary quizzes though because the quizzes are cumulative so by the end of the class the last quiz will have a pool of about 140 words to pick from. YIKES! I'm going to just make a bunch of flashcards though and just go over them once or twice a week and then right before the quiz and I will hopefully be okay. Next I had AP Chemisty and we had our first test of the class and it turned out to be relatively easy and wasn't too hard for me. As of now I've gotten back the calculator part of the test and I got a 96 on that part. Then I had Spanish which is fairly easy for me because for somereason it is easy for me to understand and easy for me to speak. After that I had physics and I needed to find sometime to make up a lab. That night I had a swim meet and the pool we swam in was pretty gross and the walls were really slippery so it was hard to do turns. I had to swim the 500 meter freestyle for the first time which was pretty awful and it took a ton of energy out of me.
The rest of the week was pretty standard. On Wednesday, after school, I made up a Spanish video that I had missed seeing and I basically aced the test on the video so that was great. Then on Thursday, after school, I made up a Chemistry lab and our lab basically failed miserably because our data was extremely off and messed up and basically all over the place. That night I had diving practice which was good and I worked on some of the dives I want to do at Regionals in a couple of weeks. Then Friday, before school, I made up a Physics lab and this was pretty funny because I forgot to tell my parents that I had gone to school so they were like freaking out when they realized I was gone. I don't know if they thought I had ran away or something because my mom asked my dad, who leaves for work at like 6 in the morning, if my car was in the driveway when he left. Eventually they got ahold of me and it all worked out. I've been sick basically all weekend with a pretty nasty cold so right now I'm trying to get through my homework before tomorrow and then everything will be okay!

Getting Started
So this is my first blog entry ever, how exciting is that! For this entry I'll cover what has happened in my life in the past five or so days
Last Wednesday, after school, I got a letter in the mail from the ACT testing place and I had received my scores. My mother rushed down to my room which is in the basement of or house to see the scores I had received. I achieved a composite score of a 32 on the ACT! As of right now I have decided that a 32 is good enough that I probably do not need to take the ACT again to get into the colleges that I may plan on going to. My first choice for a school is the University of Connecticut because I really like that area of New England.
This brings us to New England. I have moved all over my whole life. Originally I was born in Delaware. I resided there for three years of my life. My mother ran a home day care and my father worked for Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream. When I was three my dad was transferred to Sikeston, MO so it was our first move. Since I was so young, I remember nothing at all about Delaware. After living in MO for eight years my dad was transferred again to a Good Humor Breyer's Ice Cream Factory in Framingham, MA. It was extremely unfortunate to be transferred at the start of 6th grade but I was sure that I was going to get by. I loved it up there which is partially the reason that I want to go to Uconn. While in MA I went to the beach and I got really good at skimboarding. Skimboarding is a sport where you run along th shore of the beach holding a really thin board that is made either of wood or plexiglass material and you run and drop the board in very limited water as the waves are retreating back to the sea and jump on the board. Once you are very good you can do spins and tricks. I even got good enough that I could ride out into the water and occasionally turn and catch a wave so I could be brought back to shore. Also I loved skiing in New England. I own a two pairs of twin tip skis. These are skis which have raised fronts and backs, allowing you to ride forwards and backwards, which makes them an excellent pair of trick skis. I was good enough to do some rails and the occasional 360 on skis. And then, tragedy struck. My dad was transferred again. Although he still worked for the overall company of Unileiver, he was now working for Ragu Sauce instead of Ice Cream. I was coerced into moving to Owensboro, KY at the beginning of my Junior year of high school. Not only was I going to leave a ton of friends behind but also I was forced to leave the girl that I had been dating for 4 months at the time. Everything has worked out though and we have been together long distance now for 10 months, bringing us to my last couple days.
On Thursday I woke up with my bags packed and went to school. I could hardly concentrate knowing what was to come. The day could not have gone by any slower but finally I my 4th block Physics teacher got the call and I was dismissed half an hour early from school. From the school my mother and I drove to the Evansville, IN airport and took off on our flight to RI. We hit the connection in Atlanta, GE with ease. At Atlanta I went to the Atlanta Bread Company to get my dinner and then it was off to RI. Once we landed in RI my mother and I rented a car and drove the hour to Hopkinton, MA. By the time we got to MA and the house we were staying at for the night it was already past midnight but there was still someone up waiting for us. The next morning I was woken up early by my friend jumping on me. From there I went to my girlfriends house and it was an awesomely romantic reunification. There we hung out all day at her house and just chilled. Overall the whole weekend was amazing and I spent a lot of time with my girl as well as my best guy friend. My best guy friend is pretty cool and we just screwed around and caused all kinds of trouble.
When it was time to leave I was extremely emotional and there were tears flying but, I was able to get through it in the end and got on my plane to Atlanta.
In Atlanta our flight to Evansville had been canceled so we were going to be stuck in Atlanta for atleast 24 hours and I was going to miss school the next day. But, because of some quick thinking by my mom we were able to get on a flight to Nashville, TN and we got my dad to come pick us up at about 10 PM. We also gave some people that lived in Owensboro a ride home who got stuck in the same situation which my mother and I found ourselves in.
All and all it was a fantastic time.
